Oil Rig Hydraulics (ORH) - 2nd level industrial hydraulics training course - 5 days - The hydraulic equipment used on drilling platforms is varied and complex and utilize both industrial and mobile hydraulic valves. Hydraulic systems have been developed specifically for the oil and gas drilling business. Pumping systems range from fixed displacement pumps to very complex variable displacement, high flow, and high pressure pumps with multiple controls. AMT provides the only highly integrated and comprehensive training course that covers most the pumping systems and the operational control systems that are currently in use on the rigs and land-based platforms. We have spent years acquiring hydraulic system information for top drive systems, hydraracker systems, subsea equipment, complex pumping systems with multiple pump controls and many more drilling systems. Let AMT sharpen your hydraulic skills and develop your knowledge and maintenance ability on your oil drilling hydraulic equipment. We also know the rig maintenance personnel needs for understanding electro-proportional hydraulic valves and we've included this information as a learning topic. This week-long training course includes many lab exercises and oil rig schematic reading exercises. We've been told by former students that we explain how oil rig hydraulic equipment works better than anyone. See for yourself why this is the most comprehensive hydraulics training for oil rig maintenance workers on the planet! We are approved vendors for training for most drilling companies and oil services providers.
Prerequisite: This is a 2nd level hydraulic training course. To enroll the potential student must have completed a bona fide hydraulic principles course of study (5 days or longer) and maintenance-related employment and experience in the oil drilling services business is required.
